I'm stepping out in support of the Ukrainian people on Saturday 11 May at Walk My Way Ukraine!

The world looked on in shock when conflict started in Ukraine two years ago (24 February 2022). Sadly, millions of Ukrainian people are now displaced and continue to struggle… yet the world has seemingly forgotten about this tragic situation.

I’m joining with hundreds of others to walk 12.5km or 3km along the Brisbane River to send a message of peace and support from the heart of Brisbane to the hearts of the Ukrainian people.

I’m also fundraising to provide practical care for the millions of Ukrainian children and families who have fled the conflict into neighbouring countries, and for those who are displaced within Ukraine. The funds raised will be used to provide emergency food, water and shelter, to help rebuild housing so displaced families can return home, to rebuild schools so children can continue to learn, and to provide psychological care for children who have suffered trauma.
